Information on Child Care
Child Care Development Program / CCDF
The CCDF program provides child care assistance to families residing within the following Counties: Caddo, Grady, Oklahoma and Comanche, (City of Lawton only). The Program provides training for CPR and First Aid for our providers. Quality childcare is extremely important for our children and our families. Classes and trainings are available. The CCDF Program also has a Lending Library for all CCDF Providers for the children in their care. A variety of items are available. We have books to promote literacy and many educational learning materials for the enrolled Wichita & Affiliated Tribes children in childcare.
Mission Statement of the CCDF Program
- To assist children and families deemed as eligible, which are enrolled with any Federally Recognized Tribe.
- To assist families through job referrals for employment with the intent of helping them to become self-sufficient.
- To assist families in obtaining quality child care there by easing the pressure of, and making the transition from welfare to work more successful.
Objectives of the CCDF Program
To assist the families of enrolled members with any Federally Recognized Tribe with childcare payments.
To provide referrals to families for providers.
To insure that the childcare facilities are safe and have a healthy environment.
To provide Child Care Center Class information to all providers.
To improve the quality of child care.
