Quapaw Tribe of Indians Housing

Provides a grant to fund services to repair, renovate, replace, or provide housing for low-income families having substandard housing or who are without housing.

Quapaw Tribe Housing Department

Elder Housing: All units are occupied. Requests from tenants are handled as they come in. Inspections/spraying are done quarterly. Two applicants on the waiting list. We have several on the waiting list for two bedroom units.

QT Rental Housing Program
: All units are occupied. We do not have any applicants on the waiting list at this time. Units are sprayed and inspected monthly.

NAHASDA (Native American Housing and Self-Determination Act): We did not receive any applications for the Rehab and Replacement Program for the month of January. We have completed forty-two (42) projects. We have finished the rehab project in Miami and have started on a demo/replacement project east of Quapaw.


Responsibilities

The Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act (NAHASDA) Rehab Housing Program provides a grant to fund services to repair, renovate, replace, or provide housing for low-income families having substandard housing or who are without housing. The program is meant to provide safe, secure, and sanitary housing to approved / eligible applicants according to the following priorities:

  • Enrolled Quapaw Tribal members
  • Quapaw Tribal members by descent
  • Members of other federally recognized tribes
