Oklahoma’s alcoholic beverage laws are changing. But do you know exactly how the new law will affect you?
Most people know the new law allows for the sale of wine and high-point beer in convenience and grocery stores, but they may not be aware of other key changes, including the times when alcohol can be sold or that anyone who sells or serves alcohol must have a liquor license.
Here at Grand Nation, we have a lot of questions about the new law, which goes into effect on October 1, and we’re guessing that you do too.
That’s why we’ve invited Captain Erik Smoot with the Oklahoma
Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement (ABLE) Commission to address our monthly meeting Monday, Aug. 20.
Erik will explain the upcoming changes and what it will mean when State Question 792 takes effect. There will also be a question-and-answer period. Erik has said he will give us all the time we need to ask questions.
If you have a business that sells beer, wine or alcohol, are a member of law enforcement or are just someone who wants to know how the new law will affect them, you don’t want to miss this meeting.
Join us at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at the South Grand Lake Christian Church, located at East 350 Road, Vinita.
Changes are coming. By attending this meeting, you’ll be better prepared for those changes.
