During these dates, the Museum of the American Indian in Novato will present the exhibit, Native Expressions featuring the art of Becky Olvera Schultz. On display will be Native American art masks, Southwest style masks, photography, serigraphs, rawhide shields and other mixed media works.

Becky’s art is inspired by the peoples indigenous to the Americas and her masks have been described as intense, awesome, powerful, cutting edge, beautiful, spiritual, dramatic and even intimidating. Her art masks have been featured in the national magazines Cowboys & Indians, Wild West and Native Peoples.

The De-Un-Da-Ga Memorial Day Powwow takes place in a beautiful Northern Traditional Pine Covered Dance Arbor and serves as a memorial to honor the memory of those veterans and elders who have passed away. The De-Un-Da-Ga Memorial Day Powwow is a fun, family-oriented event. Spectators and particpants will enjoy American Indian dancing, singing, regalia, crafts and food. Everyone is welcome at the 55th Annual Delaware Pow Wow on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26, 2019 at the Fred Fall-Leaf Memorial Campgrounds near Copan, Oklahoma, 3 Miles East of Highway 75 on Road 600. The Delaware Pow Wow is held on 29-acres just north of Copan, Oklahoma, on original Delaware allotment land owned by George Fall-Leaf. Georges brother Numerous Fall-Leaf was the one who came up with the idea to have the powwow in 1964 and individual tribal members, not the tribe have kept it alive since that time, working as the Delaware Pow Wow Committee.

All are welcome to the 29th Annual Memorial Day Snow Mountain Pow Wow on May 24-25, 2019 at the Santa Fe Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Annual Snow Mountain Pow Wow is a community celebration hosted by the Las Vegas Paiute tribe. The pow wow attracts many from other American Indian tribes to participate in its various festivities, but the pow wow is open to folks from all backgrounds. The one-day event features an opening ceremony, participation-encouraged drum circles, folkloric musical performances and bird dancing and juried singing competitions.

All are invited to the annual MCNAA Spring Planting Moon Pow Wow on May 25-26, 2019 at Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Massachusetts. Come celebrate the Spring Planting Moon at our annual pow-wow. Through song, dance and storytelling, we’ll thank Mother Earth for the three main staples that we plant annually around this time for the sustenance of our families: beans, corn and squash. Within most Native traditions, they are known as The Three Sisters.
