ADA, Okla. – Field trips to the Chickasaw Cultural Center, Chickasaw White House, Chickasaw National Capitol and Council House Museum are on the agenda for the Chickasaw Humanities Youth Workshop.
Activities including Chickasaw storytelling, culture, fine arts, language, the Chickasaw Press, the Lighthorse Police Department and more are planned for the seminar set for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 7-9, at the arts and humanities building, 201 N. Broadway.
This three-day event provides youth with the opportunity to better understand their culture through experience.
The workshop, including daily continental breakfasts and lunches, is offered at no charge to youth, ages 9-13, with Chickasaw preference.
Deadline to register is Monday, June 5. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants.
