Tribal Registration can be a long process, we can make that a little bit easier.  Here you can look up information by tribe to find out exactly what you need to do to become a tribal member.

Absentee - Shawnee Tribe of Indians

Absentee Shawnee Tribe Enrollment

Tribal Enrollment Office is supervised by the Secretary Office and the duties of the Tribal Enrollment Office are set forth in the Constitution and the Enrollment Ordinance. It is the Mission of this department to provide custodial responsibilities of the tribal membership rolls and to give priority to keeping the tribal rolls current. We ensure that no person is enrolled unless they meet all eligibility criteria.

Apache Tribe of Oklahoma

Tribal Enrollment is the most significant element of Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. To be of Apache ancestry is very special in itself, but to belong to a tribe and to participate in its activities is even more important. Click Here for more information

Caddo Nation Enrollment

All living lineal descendants of allottee(s), or at least one-sixteenth (1/16) degree Caddo Indian Blood, born after the date of the adoption of the Constitution (June 26, 1976), except those persons otherwise entitled to enrollment with the Caddo Nation who elect to be enrolled in another tribe are eligible for enrollment. Cherokee Nation

Cherokee Nation citizenship, individuals must provide documents connecting them to an enrolled direct ancestor who is listed on the Dawes Roll with a blood degree. 

Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes issue tribal identification cards to enrolled Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal Members aged 16 and older. For more information on how to get your CDIB card click here.

Chickasaw Nation Citizenship

Applicants must be able to trace their heritage through bloodlines to an original enrollee listed on the Dawes Commission Rolls to obtain a CDIB and citizenship card. Click here for more information about genealogy research.

Choctaw Nation Membership

The Tribal Membership Card establishes an individual as a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and can only be issued once a CDIB has been approved. 

Citizen Potawatomi Nation Citizenship

To be eligible for Citizen Potawatomi Nation citizenship individuals must be able to provide documents connecting them to an enrolled lineal ancestor.

Comanche Nation Enrollment

The Comanche Nation Enrollment Department will ensure each person and department will be treated fairly, compassionately and with total cooperation in regards to membership, potential membership and other tribal business.

Delaware Tribe Enrollment

In order to be enrolled on the tribal roll, your ancestor(s) by blood must have been living in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma) in 1906, and enrolled on the official tribal base roll which was made at that time. This is a requirement set forth by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and follows THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS, PART 83 — PROCEDURES FOR ESTABLISHING THAT AN AMERICAN INDIAN GROUP EXISTS AS AN INDIAN TRIBE. Eastern Shawnee Tribe Enrollment

To be a citizen of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, you must enroll with the Vital Statistics Department. Find out more information here

Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Enrollment

To be eligible for enrollment of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, one must have a parent on the roll and have at least a 1/16 of Iowa blood quantum. The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma does not allow dual enrollment. Click here for more information

Kaw Nation Citizenship

Kaw Nation Citizens are basically the same as citizens are to other nations. This department handles all aspects of citizenship from maintaining vital records of old and new citizens alike.

Kialegee Tribal Town Enrollment

Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Enrollment

The Member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma shall consist of the following persons, provide: they have not recieved land or money by virtue of being enrolled as members of another Tribe. To find out more click here

Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma Enrollment

Applications for membership must be supported by birth certificates of authenticated copies thereof and/or other records recognized by State or Federal Recorders, as required by the circumstances of each application. All evidence will be retained by the Kiowa Business Committee to support the record.

Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Enrollment

The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma member/citizen roll is open to application for any individual capable of proving their blood ties to the Tribe.

Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma Tribal Enrollment

Anyone applying for enrollment in the Modoc Tribe must meet certain requirements.  View those requirements here

Muscogee Creek Nation Tribal Registry

The criteria for Citizenship is that you must be Creek by Blood and trace back to a direct ancestor listed on the 1906 Dawes Roll by the issuance of birth and/or death certificates. Find more here

Osage Nation Membership

The Osage Nation Membership Department works with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to process and issue CDIB Cards. Like the Osage Membership card, CDIB’s require verification of lineal descent from an Osage listed on the base roll created pursuant to the Osage Allotment Act of 1906. 

Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians Enrollment

Individuals desiring to be considered for enrollment in the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians must meet the eligibility requirement of being descended from a Tribal Member from the official Otoe-Missouria Base Roll, dated October 14, 1966 and who possess at least 1/8th degree of Otoe-Missouria blood and he/she must not have received land or money, as an adult, by virtue of being enrolled as members of another Indian Tribe. Tonkawa Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma Enrollment

All persons on the 1938 Official Census Roll, and any person who is not enrolled in any other tribe, and has one parent enrolled in the Tonkawa Tribe, whether that parent is living or deceased, who has been enrolled by the Tribal Committee upon written application. Any person who is enrolled in any other tribe and has one parent enrolled in the Tonkawa Tribe, whether that parent is living or deceased, who has been enrolled by majority vote of the Tribal Council upon written application. In order to be enrolled with the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, an applicant must meet one of the criteria listed in Article II-Membership of the Governing Resolution.  Find out more about enrollment here

Wyandotte Nation Enrollment

WHEREAS, the Wyandotte Nation is a federally recognized Tribe, possessing inherent sovereign powers of Government; and

WHEREAS, those sovereign powers are exercised by a duly elected Board of Directors, deriving its governing powers from the Tribal Constitution and the Nation’s Council; and

WHEREAS, it is an authority and right of a Tribe to establish its own enrollment criteria and procedures; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is desirous of establishing a Tribal Enrollment Ordinance, setting forth the criteria, policy and procedures for enrollment in the Wyandotte Nation.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Wyandotte Nation hereby adopts this Enrollment Ordinance.
